DC Immersion partnered with the National Foreign Language Center of University of Maryland to study diversity in DC’s dual language programs. Preliminary findings point to DC’s dual language programs being far more diverse linguistically, ethically, socioeconomically and special needs wise than DC’s non dual language programs.

In a District plagued by the ill effects of school segregation, dual language programs seem to offer a window to addressing this important issue.
