On Saturday June 4th 2016, DC Immersion held its first community forum aimed at the Latino population of Ward 1, presented by National Foreign Language Center of University of Maryland and co-hosted by the Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs and the State Board of Education.

 

Below is a prezi presented by Berenice Pernalete which really brought home how bilingual education for DC’s Spanish speaking community is paramount because of the added social value.
