Made possible also thanks to DC Immersion and its advocacy partners‘ work that led to the creation and programmatic funding of the Office of Multilingual Education within the Office of the State Superintendent for Education, OSSE’s Multilingual Learner Conference provided professional development to over 300 educators over 2 days, one of which was entirely dedicated to dual language programs.
On the planning committee together with DC Public Schools and Howard University, DC Immersion also presented on Building a Community of Advocates: How Educators Can Better Engage Families and Leaders To Support Students.
Congratulations to the team at OSSE for a much needed, top notch event.
